About this workshop
Puskar Basu is a dedicated natural history photographer, as well as a national-level swimmer and mountaineer. He firmly believes that wildlife represents the most dynamic expression of nature, and that wildlife photography plays a crucial role in fostering awareness and supporting conservation efforts.
This seminar was all about conservation of wildlife through photography. Mr. Basu described through his photographs how to take animal portraits, how to capture the stories of the animal habits and life moment without disturbing them. He discussed with the audience about the wildlife camera and lens technique, how to take nature photos and how to do forest photography.
During this precious session audience came to know wildlife conservation is the protection and preservation of wild animals, forests, and natural habitats to maintain biodiversity and ecological balance. Conserving wildlife helps prevent endangered species from extinction, protects forests, and sustains ecosystems that provide clean air, water, and food. Efforts such as national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, afforestation, and anti-poaching measures play a vital role in saving wildlife. Wildlife protection is essential not only for nature but also for the survival of human beings and future generations.
Mr. Basu added that the essence of wildlife photography is not just about capturing images; it is about telling visual stories that inspire conservation, awareness, and love for nature. Also, through wildlife photo stories, people can connect emotionally with endangered species and understand the importance of protecting ecosystems.
