His contribution to photography is often overlooked, but it reflects the same depth, composition, and storytelling that he brought to cinema and literature. The speaker of the session was Mr. Aroop Ray Chaudhury, an intellectual, educationist, and nephew of Satyajit Ray, who shared rare insights into Ray’s creative journey and photographic vision. Satyajit Ray used to see every detail of daily life from a different perspective, and that set him apart from others. His philosophy of life was rooted in deep observation and realization. He loved to watch the same things—like a flower or the shadow of a railing—at different times of the day, under different angles of natural light. While ordinary people might not have the patience for such mindful observation, Ray always did, and this practice helped him create timeless and mindful art. Mr. Aroop Ray Chaudhury shared few photographs captured by him according to the direction of his uncle Satyajit Ray. At a glance the photographs may be consider as simple. But, after a close look, one will be appreciate them as expressive art. Ray always tried to give priority to the emotion of human and hence it helped to do creative photography. For more than two hours, the audience listened to Mr. Ray Chaudhury with great interest, and after the session, they interacted with him and took his autograph.

Mr. Kuntal Biswas, the mentor, took great care and gave important tips to open vision to capture candid portraits on daily busy streets. Motion study is one of the important thing in street snaps to do creative photography. The mentor gave tips on camera basics and focus which helped participants to capture motions artistically. Participants used Canon's professional cameras and experienced in the practical field. It helped to those, who want to be a photo journalist in future. The opportunity gave them an idea about professional cameras for photo journalism. After the practical part, participants came to Phoolbagan branch of RAP Education Photography School, to have the theoretical session. After a short refreshment, Mr. Biswas analyzed the photographs captured by the participants. He gave a presentation on street photography in which showed his own work as well. He discussed important point like, dynamic range, leading lines, golden hour, silhouette shots, monochrome portraits and more. It was hot and humid out there and the festival started around 10 AM at Olaichandi temple and continued till evening. Students reached there about two hours ago for location scouting, which is very important to understand the place and adaptation of the environment. It was all about patience and concentration to capture the moments and rituals without interfering or disturbing them. Important suggestions were shared by the trainers regarding event coverage to the students, which will help them in practical field. The Vel Vel Festival in Bandel, West Bengal is a vibrant Tamil cultural celebration dedicated to Lord Murugan, the Hindu God of War and Victory. This festival, deeply rooted in Tamil traditions and spirituality, showcases colorful rituals, devotional songs, and processions. Celebrated with great enthusiasm by the Tamil community. The festival highlights unity, devotion and cultural diversity. Devotees carry the sacred Vel (spear), symbolizing Lord Murugan’s divine power, and offer prayers for prosperity and protection. Mr. Basu described through his photographs how to take animal portraits, how to capture the stories of the animal habits and life moment without disturbing them. He discussed with the audience about the wildlife camera and lens technique, how to take nature photos and how to do forest photography. During this precious session audience came to know wildlife conservation is the protection and preservation of wild animals, forests, and natural habitats to maintain biodiversity and ecological balance. Conserving wildlife helps prevent endangered species from extinction, protects forests, and sustains ecosystems that provide clean air, water, and food. Efforts such as national parks, wildlife sanctuaries, afforestation, and anti-poaching measures play a vital role in saving wildlife. Wildlife protection is essential not only for nature but also for the survival of human beings and future generations. Mr. Basu added that the essence of wildlife photography is not just about capturing images; it is about telling visual stories that inspire conservation, awareness, and love for nature. Mr. Bhattacharjee gave some tips on creative photography and visual art in fashion photography. Mentors also shared how to master the light, composition, and camera techniques to highlight clothing, accessories, and aesthetics. A good fashion photographer needs to understand trends, body language and visual storytelling to create impactful photos that not only showcase fashion but also evoke emotions. Mr. Dora demonstrated the Sony G Master Lenses and explained how the lenses are designed for exceptional image quality and performance. The lenses are known for the sharpness, bokeh and speed.
