Understanding Fashion Photography by Canon

The workshop was organized by Canon to make students understand what is fashion photography is all about and to demonstrate their professional cameras and lenses.

The mentors demonstrated the upgraded features of Canon camera and lenses and the tricks to use to get shallow depth of field which helps in commercial shootings. They also demonstrated how to get the perfect colour and texture of the product or costumes which are very essential in commercial shootings.

In second part of the workshop, that is during practical session the mentors explained and gave valuable tips like, how to make a model comfortable and relax to get the best expression and natural posses. Also, they helped the participants to use the soft light and to take close-up shots to create expressive art.

The mentors guided the young aspiring photographers in skill mastery and gave some career tips in commercial field. Fashion photographers play a vital role in showcasing clothing, accessories, and beauty trends through powerful visuals. With the rise of fashion magazines, advertising campaigns, e-commerce, and social media platforms, the demand for skilled fashion photographers is growing rapidly. To build a successful fashion photography career, one must develop strong technical skills in lighting, composition, and editing, along with a keen sense of style and creativity. Networking with fashion designers, models, stylists, and makeup artists is essential to grow in the industry.
